On Air Reporter and News Producer
A little about me
Ever since I got my feet wet with Rogers Television in high school as a script assistant and camera operator, my passion has been broadcasting and current events.
At Ryerson, I specialized in TV Broadcast Journalism within the Radio and Television Arts program. Internships at CBC, CityNews, and CTV while in school lead to my first job at Dragons' Den as an assistant editor.
That initial role lead to a series of progressive advancements: broadcast technician, associate producer for chase and breaking news, reporting in Moncton, Halifax, Winnipeg, and Toronto, producer for the Sochi games, and writing and producing for CBC News Network.
I was asked to train others at CBC on Avid desktop editing, the CBC News Grid touch screen for Breaking News Desk workflow, TV graphics, and iNews Toolbar for control room automation due to my technical aptitude and strong teaching ability.
Technical - TV, radio, online.
Chasing the story, getting it right.
